Please have children bring earbuds to media.
As you are aware, technology provides new and exciting ways to engage students and it puts the world within their reach. Students from K-5 come to the Media/Research Lab on a weekly basis. Students use the laptops for research in the areas of science and social studies. This year the students will be using the Independent Investigation Method (IIM). The Independent IIM Process guides students through the research process. With the Independent IIM Process, students will work on individual or small group projects. Upon completion of their research, students create authentic projects using PowerPoint, Word and various publishing programs. Some of these projects include newsletters, essays, brochures and slide shows. Recently the Media/Research Lab received new MacBook Air laptops from RESO A monies. The students are very excited to use the new laptops.
